With nearly three decades of hands-on experience in the glazing and construction industry, Max Hodnett has been a pivotal part of Frontier Glass Inc. for over 12 years. Starting his career in the field in 1994, Max entered the trade through family connections—initially just looking for a job—but quickly grew into a skilled glazier. His drive, reliability, and strong work ethic led him to progress steadily through the ranks to his current role as Superintendent. He now utilizes his deep understanding of the field to guide and mentor others, ensuring projects are executed with precision and efficiency.
Max is a trusted leader on-site, overseeing daily field operations and ensuring that projects are completed with precision and pride. He takes personal responsibility for the success of every job, from manpower planning and layout to coordination and execution. His leadership is grounded in integrity, mentorship, and a deep commitment to craftsmanship.

Role & Responsibilities

At Frontier Glass, Max serves as the go-to field leader for project execution. Once a project is assigned by the project management team, Max takes ownership—assigning manpower, laying out and measuring jobs, organizing crews, and managing coordination efforts on-site. Known for his strong time management and troubleshooting skills, Max brings deep experience and insight to every phase of a project.
He is a trusted mentor to field teams, leading by example and guiding newer generations of glaziers through the same journey he once took. His approach is grounded in fairness and respect, making him a vital link between office staff and field crews.

Max is deeply passionate about delivering high-quality work and ensuring client satisfaction. He believes in doing things right the first time and finds immense joy in seeing his work take shape in the world around him. Max has played a significant role in numerous notable projects, including those at RIT, SUNY Geneseo Milne Library and Cornell Multidisciplinary buildings. His exceptional work has been recognized with the 2025 Craftsmanship Award by the Builders Exchange of Rochester for his contributions to Cornell University projects, a testament to his commitment to excellence.
