With over eight years of experience in the glass construction industry and a diverse professional background, Robert “Rob” McCool brings leadership, logistical expertise, and an unshakable work ethic to his role as Shop Superintendent at Frontier Glass Inc. His career journey—from marine spill response to wastewater management to foodservice manufacturing—has shaped a uniquely skilled and solutions-oriented leader, committed to supporting his team and driving operational excellence.
Rob has been with Frontier Glass since 2023 and is responsible for overseeing the receiving, storage, fabrication, and distribution of all materials and tools required for projects across the company. He ensures that every detail of the logistics pipeline runs efficiently and supports field teams by making sure they have exactly what they need, when they need it.

Career Path

Rob began his professional life as a Marine Spill Responder, managing the logistics and operations of water-based oil spill responses. He later transitioned to managing a wastewater treatment facility before spending 17 years in foodservice manufacturing, where he rose to the role of Manufacturing Manager. After relocating to the Rochester area, he moved into the glass construction industry, where his background in logistics became a perfect fit.

Current Role & Responsibilities

• Coordinating the flow of materials and tools from receipt through fabrication to jobsite delivery
• Supporting project managers, superintendents, and foremen across all active jobs
• Leading shop operations and maintaining organized, safe, and timely processes

Rob especially enjoys the coordination aspect of his role—communicating with project leaders to ensure seamless material and tool delivery. His approach is grounded in observation, collaboration, and adaptability.

Rob plays a critical role in aligning shop operations with field needs. Rob finds fulfillment in the camaraderie and collaboration that define the construction industry. When asked what is the most exciting thing about working at Frontier glass he replies with – “The most exciting thing about working at Frontier Glass is the future.
